About

Next Stop: Brooklyn/Dakar is a year-long Museums Connect (SM) collaboration between partners ImagiNation Afrika and Brooklyn Children’s Museum.

This blog will provide news and updates on grant participation and collaboration. In addition, youth participants in both Dakar, Senegal and Brooklyn, NY will use photography and film to capture the changing cultures of both locations due to migrations. This site serves as a place to exchange and provide commentary on the work being done by both groups and will lead up to a larger final project encapsulating their work. You can find that information here.

Museums Connect (SM) is made possible by the U.S. department of State’s Bureau of educational and Cultural Affairs and is administered by the American Alliance of Museums.
